At the beginning of every shift I would bring out the manual conveyer belts to the trailers to set up each trailer station. I would unload and load boxes from light to heavy off onto trailers. When unloading a trailer I would put small to medium sized packages into one conveyer belt while the heavy or awkwardly big boxes go into a different conveyer belt. I would bring a fillable water bottle, and gloves to every shift. When loading trailers, the boxes slide down a conveyer belt then on to the manual conveyer belts that you grab them off of to build a wall from heavy at the bottom to lightest packages at the top. When building a wall I would use a two step ladder to safely place boxes at the top. When a trailer is filled I would connect a net from one side of the trailer to the other to keep the boxes in place. I would also throw in a paper by the net of how many packages are filled with chemicals. Not only did we have to worry about packages off the conveyer belts, but also NC's that were heavy packages that came on the main conveyer belts that a position called NC pickers would put these boxes to which ever number trailer they were assigned to. This mostly sums up an average shift at FedEx. The address to where I worked is 15020 Flight Ave Chino, CA 91710.
