Summary

While on paper it may look like I am in experienced; in reality I am a mature young adult that can handle any challenge put infront of me. I have both started my own business and done countless hours of volunteer work in my community. These have both adequately prepared me for this job that takes a great deal of fast learning and quick problem solving. I believe you will not find a harder worker no matter how many job applications and interviews you do. If you accept me I will not only do the job but I will do the job exceptionally well every single day.

Work History

Private Baseball Coach

Private Lessons For Ages 9-14
2022.06 - Current
  • I taught private lessons to anyone between the ages of 9-14 who is interested in getting better at baseball. I am highly qualified for this position because I have received world class coaching over my many years of playing and I transfer that into my coaching style.
  • Every student that I have had has always came back to me for more lessons because they believe that I teach in a understandable way, and the parents believe that I am helping there son improve at baseball.
  • I have also volunteered on a few different baseball teams as a coach. I worked with kids from many different age groups and was able to change my coaching style to best suit the kids individual needs.

Volunteer

Holland Landing Food Pantry
2019.11 - 2023.07
  • Assisted with special events and programs.
  • I volunteered at the Holland Landing Food Pantry for four years now. I help with the monthly food pick up and delivery of the food to the customers.
  • I volunteered at the RBC Canadian Women's Open and I worked both crowd control and security. I did this at the age of 13 years old and it shows that I have been trusted with heavy responsibilities from a young age.
  • I volunteered at the East Gwillimbury Lions pancake breakfast whenever they would host them. I was trusted with the role of pancake cook which is the most important job in the entire operation and I handled it no problem

Gym Experience

Intech Fitness
2019.09 - 2022.09

I also have lots of experience in the fitness industry in general. For 3 years I went to Intech Fitness in Vaughan Ontario. This was a specialized training program I would do specifically for athletes trying to improve in there sport. During this process I learned all about the equipment in the gym, all different exercises and how to use every machine, nutritional planning and what kinds of workout routines fit a specific person.

I am also a athlete under the "Only The Strong" brand. This is a small company that the athletic trainer on my baseball team owns. This is important because I means I know how to represent a company and a brand really well. It also shows that someone else has trusted me representing there company name.

I have also been a member at the same LA Fitness for just under a year now and this has been a big part in my fitness journey. The reason I am applying for this job is because I really like the atmosphere this establishment has and I believe I would be able to add to that effect and help clients enjoy there time at the gym even more

Skills

  • Learning Skills: I have always been a very fast learner in everything that I do. I am very good at listening to instructions and picking up the task almost instantly. Being in the competitive baseball world this has been a crucial skill that has helped me land a Division 1 scholarship.
  • Maturity: While I may only be 18 years old I believe I am mature way beyond my years. I can handle difficult situations calmly and effectively with the sole goal in mind of getting the job done. There is not much in the world that phases me or breaks my focus when I have a task or a goal in my mind. A prime example of this would be my private lessons, parents trust me that what I am showing there kid will be worth the 50 dollars an hour.
  • Work Ethic: I would say this is my most important skill and something that I pride myself on. In my eyes my work ethic is second to none. When I have a goal in mind there is virtually nothing in the world that can stop me from achieving that goal. For example, around two years ago I started to go on the search for schools where I could play baseball. My coaches, teammates, friends, and family all said that looking for a division 1 scholarship was unrealistic and unattainable. However I had my mind set on this and I worked at it 7 days a week for two years straight, I gave up everything else in my life in order to make this possible. Now as of July 11th 2023 I have obtained myself a Division 1 scholarship. If I can overcome this there is nothing in the workplace I can't overcome.
  • Organization: I have always been very organized in everything that I do. I believe that if you are not organized than you can not do anything to its full potential. My whole life I have never had a problem with losing things or forgetting important dates or anything like that.
  • Punctuality: This is another skill that I practice every single day. My general rule that I live by is 'if you are not 5 minutes early you're late'. This is a great skill that has served me well over the years. For example, I have never once been late for a baseball game or a scouting event because you never know who is watching you and if you are late that instantly kills your chances.
