- During my time at Dell Technologies, I was predominantly focused on designing technology solutions as well as visual representations of backlog data to provide efficiencies for Dell's supply chain management team.
Responsibilities included:
- Creating and maintaining automated bots to complete time-consuming manual tasks.
- Using backlog data to tell a visual story using Excel and PowerBI for daily meetings.
- Developed diagrams to describe and lay out logical operational steps.
- Helped deploy system enhancements to improve field operations.
- Produced charts and diagrams to assist with problem analysis.
- Putting together Excel reports daily through data analysis and backlog research.
- Analyzed backlog data and identified how to prevent orders from reaching late statuses.
- On a weekly basis I presented my analysis to 20+ people and facilitated meetings for Business Operations to discuss backlog and POI data.
Alongside my work within supply chain management, I worked on multiple projects to help Dell save annual costs and time spent on manual reports, an example of which is included below.
Project Example:
Using Python, Visual Basic, Excel and Automation Anywhere, I built an automated robot to flag priority orders on Dells backlog ensuring efficiency for clients.
Daily PGI Predictability Automation Project
- Reviewed report and built annual time and cost savings analysis around the use of automating.
- Analyzed manual reporting processes.
- Worked with the software development team to schedule necessary reports to be exported into set file locations daily for a smoother automation process.
- Created flow chart of each step of the manual process.
- Utilized Automation Anywhere + Excel macros to automate each step of the manual process.
- Had code reviewed by Dell's automation approval group and proceeded with putting the bot into production for daily execution.
