AUTOMATIC CLASSIFIER OF AVOCADOS
PUCP (2019)
During my university training I developed a machine which selects the type of avocado that needs to be classified in either Fuerte or Hass type. Then, they will be inserted manually where they will be taken to an isolation area where, with image processing, it will be determined if it is mature or not and what size it is, then is placed in boxes and finally put in pallets for shipping.
COMPANION ROBOT FOR ELDERLY
PUCP (2020)
During my last cycles of my university education, I participated in the development of a feline-looking robot that works to decrease loneliness in older adults as well as in assisting them in taking medicines. This system works with a dispenser of medication that is refilled once a week to be dispensed down a ramp to an exit compartment that is illuminated with a led strip, in addition to that, an alarm similar to purring is generated of a cat. However, if the person does not take the medication it will send an alarm to the person responsible for the elder individual to inform the incident. On the other hand, it has a video call function that can be used by the patient to call family members more often to reduce loneliness.
