Objective

I want to be a sociologist that can take the burden of hospital bills off people’s shoulders and help them take care of themselves. My vision is to create and support community programs and policies that support and resource individuals, so everyone gets access to the care they need without medical costs to the point of exhaustion. In research, advocacy and through partnering with healthcare providers, I’d like to see a more equal healthcare system that puts patients first and does not focus on costs. Become a sociologist who aims to reduce the cost of care through research and interventions designed to help patients pay their hospital bills, so they can focus on themselves and their lives instead of worrying about the medical bill.
