I reffed an all day soccer tournament for the junior public schools in my area in the fall. I also previously reffed for the Lindsay Optimist Club in May and June every week for an hour for the U9 age group.
With two friends I coached a U9 mixed soccer team for eight weeks in the spring. This included planning drills to develop skills, teaching sportsmanship and encouraging the children in a positive way.
For a week in August I volunteered at the KL Hockey Camp. I helped in the girls dressing room, tie up skates and put on equipment. I would be on the ice multiple times a day helping the coaches demonstrate and set up drills. We would have time off-ice as well where I was responsible for leading the kids in games or drills.
I regularly walked and cared for my neighbours' two golden retrievers.
I delivered papers weekly in my neighborhood; assembling and bagging the newspapers prior.
