Summary

Founder of Hand in Hand with African Women, a change agent for restorative and social justice. As a university professor, she led educational and humanitarian international projects in a university setting. Her leadership role of Projet Afrique at the University of Alberta, inspired her to create a charitable organization to support African women in their quest to transform lives of people in their communities. She embraced the opportunity to create sustainable structures that will bring African women closer to autonomy, to self-reliance. Lucille is also an innovative second language and intercultural teacher educator. As an Education professor at the University of Alberta, she endeavored to provide and model excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and leadership in teacher education.

Among her contributions to the Education profession, Lucille was recognized for her participation on a National Association for Immersion Teacher's Advisory Board, for directing National Institutes for teachers as well as for her untiring commitment to broadening the horizons of University students at the international level.

As a member of GIFEW (The Global Institute for Evolutionary Women), she endeavors to participate in her quest to the betterment of society at the local, national and global levels, drawing attention to the obstacles and challenges women and girls face around the world, as we strive to achieve equality, opportunity and safety for all.
