I'm looking for a career that caters more to my life and working around me being at home more. I like a challenge and learning new things. I like hard work and working with others. I like to be organized and plan what to do first then execute the plan.
Work Experience 03/2007 - Until now International Union Of Operating Engineers Crane Operator I started out at Petro Canada gas plant in Edmonton working as an equipment coordinator for Bantrel Constructors. I was in charge of keeping track of equipment and relocating equipment as needed on site. I had to keep records of where the equipment went and who it went to. Once the construction was completed there I stayed with Bantrel and relocated to Shell Scotsford in Fort Saskatchewan as a Lead for a heater watch crew. I was responsible for placing, moving and maintaining the heaters sitewide. That position was seasonal and once winter was over, I started my crane apprenticeship in 2009. Then I found my way north and started working for Sterling Crane in 2011, finished my apprenticeship and have a wide variety of different crane knowledge. I was also required to get my class 1 license to drive A/T cranes and tractor trailer to haul crane components. 07/2005 - 03/2007 Carved In Stone Calgary Owner/Tilesetter I owned my own company that I kept pretty small scale, I had 2-3 employees. I did mostly residential homes, bathrooms, kitchens, front foyers, fireplaces and everything that goes with tiling a home. I enjoyed the job, making people's home beautiful was a very rewarding job. 01/2005 - 07/2005 Roll 'N Oilfield Services Reddeer, Alberta Roughneck I had to learn how to run the rig floor by myself for the most part as everyone has tasks to do, that consisted of using the power tongs to screw pipes together and make sure the pipe supply didn't run out. Helping unload trucks and helping each other as needed to keep it all moving forward. This was a very fast paced atmosphere and mind on task was mandatory.
