Canadian Western Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering initiative had previously developed their Financial Crime Data Hub (FCDH) project which was in need of performance improvements, bug fixing, and new development for reporting purposes. This required planning, solution designing, development and testing based on provided ETL mission BRDs and/or change requests. After solutions were reviewed and approved, SAS job & SQL table development and testing was undergone to perform the extract, transform and load. SAS Data Integration Studio was the tool used to extract from the SQL Server data warehouse, transform the data to meet mission requirements, and load it into the reporting/analytics database. Syscon Justice Systems’ iSAFE project entailed a full implementation of a solution that migrated the Government of South Australia’s SSMS data warehouse to a new Postgres database product supplied by Fujitsu. Pentaho DI transformations and jobs were developed to extract and transform the data based on mapping specifications but testing and load procedures were to be completed by the Syscon internally. The project entailed development of an offender management system, with highly sensitive data, so both an Alberta and South Australia background check were required. Responsibilities:

Run Oracle PL/SQL scripts to optimize Production and Pre-Production (End-to-End Testing) databases based on Jira ticket assignments.
