Over the past 37 years I have had the opportunity and privilege to work with a wide range of students, both in age and abilities. I have taught at the pre-school level, middle and high school level, creating and implementing academic, language and social skills programs for children between the ages of 5-13 years of age. For the past 12 years I have taught French as a Second language to neuro-diverse students enrolled in a modified secondary education program, which prepares them for further vocational training and independent living.
I have been volunteering with a theater group for 7 years (I Can Dream). This group gives individuals with intellectual/social challenges the opportunity to perform on stage in an original musical production - showcasing their special talents. I have also recently begun volunteering at the Montreal Children's Hospital - supporting parents and their children who are on medical journeys. I also tutor 2 afternoons a week. In my spare time I enjoy reading, drawing, kayaking and walking/exercising.
I am available every day except Mondays and I am open to work once or twice a week.
