  • Plans and manages the daily administration and operation of the President's office as well as provide administrative services and support to ensure the office operates and functions in a consistent, efficient and effective manner.

  • Liaises with the Minister's office to ensure consistent flow of information, follow up on issues, correspondence and meetings.
  • Receives, reviews, directs, tracks and monitors all correspondence received by the President's office and correspondence referred to SLGA from the Minister's office to ensure timely responses.
  • Reviews, edits and proofs all correspondence and documents coming from the President or Minister to ensure consistency and adherence to standards set by SLGA, Government or Cabinet.
  • Manages and maintains President's office paper and electronic filing systems, as well as maintains original documents, which includes Cabinet documents and Agreements, to ensure information is kept secure, accurate and available in a timely manner.
  • Provides leadership to three division Executive Administrative Assistants by ensuring administrative and operational standards, guidelines and processes are adhered to. This position also provides support in the absence of the Executive Administrative Assistants in order to ensure the continuity of workflow and smooth function/operation between the divisions and the President's Office.
  • Compiles and constructs briefing books required for the President & CEO, Minister and SLGA Executive for the Legislative Session, SLGA Board meetings, SLGA appearances before Cabinet and Legislative Assembly Committees and others as required to ensure all parties have current and consistent information that is easily accessible.
  • - This position, in the absence of the Manager, Executive Operations, is also responsible to ensure the continuity of workflow is maintained from the President's Office.
