Helps family members care for the patient by teaching appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the patient. Advises on nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping. Records patient information by making entries in the patient journal and notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following asepsis standards and procedures, maintaining security precautions, and following prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.

Placed in various acute and clinical setting such as Kaiser Covid Clinic and One Community Health. Represent physician practice by providing excellent customer service. Greeting patients and families to the practice, provides necessary registration form to the patient for completion and signature, updates patient information in Epic/IDX/Cerner(E.H.R.), Efficiently and timely answers the phone and directs calls to the appropriate staff. Verify insurance information. Explain financial requirements to patients, collection of copay then notify Medical Assistant that patient is ready. Schedule, reschedule and cancel patient appointments. Assists in chart preparation, clerical and administrative duties. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential per HIPAA. Contribute a team players effort by accomplishing related tasks as requested.
