- Created a strategic flooring strategy to grow market share and sales for the next three years. This involved evaluating store sales productivity, realigning categories, and creating new signage in the store for customers to understand the benefits of each brand. Plus, we created new in-store merchandising fixtures to improve store operations.
- Determined product roadmaps, and created unique products to drive profitability and champion private brands. As a result, we launched a new premium waterproof category called Lifeproof Hybrid Resilient, and reversed the sales trend.
- Improved profit margins by negotiating cost reductions with suppliers of $1.5 million.
- Monitored competitor activities to stay ahead of the market trends.
- Managed inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
Decorative Lighting Category, March 2017-Oct 2019
- Instrumental in implementing 8-line reviews to introduce on-trend products for in-store and online. Sourced Black and Gold lights into multiple major categories before the trend became mainstream.
- Created a roadmap strategy for launching LED lighting across multiple categories, and capitalized on the industry trend, while beating the competition a year in advance.
Storage and Organization, Blinds Category July 2012 – Feb 2016
- Created successful back-to-school storage events, and grew the business by 23%. Plus, won Merchant of the Quarter for beating the sales plan.
- Designed and sourced with OEM factory, a collection of black Husky-branded garage cabinets, which led the competition to adopt the next year.
