Summary

I am a knowledgeable Registered Nurse with a multifaceted background including front line work, education and coordination skills. I have worked in a variety of care settings and in a diversity of roles within the NTHSSA since being a resident guest of the territory starting in 2015. I can offer not only my skills of coordination and organization, but also those of my nursing expertise. I am able to offer hands on support to the team and willingly do so in my current role as Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator for the Beaufort Delta whenever the Inuvik Regional Hospital needs extra nursing staff. I am dedicated to my role as a Registered Nurse, and to also my community of Inuvik.

  • Entered data, collected surveillance, and generated reports.
  • Education to front line and leadership advocating infection control plays a critical role in patient outcomes.
  • Education delivery to all staff on infection control related topics such as: isolation, hand hygiene, and treatment pathways.
  • Performed audits: surgical site infections, hand hygiene, construction, environmental and food safety.
  • Gathered and organized materials to support operations and front line staff; Including managing outbreak management teams, and participating in multidisciplinary teams on construction projects.
  • Collaborated with department leads to develop strategic plans aligning with overall NTHSSA infection control objectives. While assisting the IRH through out the process of accreditation in 2019 and 2024.
