Work History

Produce Clerk

Country Grocer
Chemainus, British Columbia
09.2024 - 03.2025
  • Was hired when the department had lost its manager and was struggling. It was a very big, quick learning curve, and I enjoyed being part of a team that took an area of complete disarray with outdated and understocked shelves to a beautiful and vibrant part of the store. I was instantly trained on ordering, something only managers do. I have been offered work if I ever move back to any of their stores.

Multi Department Clerk

Save On Foods
Parksville, British Columbia
04.2021 - 09.2023
  • Based on my work experience I was hired to put out fires in departments that had shortage of staff or temporarily needed help. Most grocery stores only train a person in one department, I ended up training in 5. Cashier, Wine, Deli, Grocery and Deli Department. I worked there while waiting for my home to sell. The Manager offered me a supervisor or management position if I would stay. I thoroughly enjoyed working in such a busy, well run store.

Business Owner/Operator

Critters Cookies Doggie Daycare
Parksville, British Columbia
01.2019 - 01.2021
  • I purchased and reopened a failing dog daycare to add to my current dog treat business. I had a small dog and a large dog area, built a dog bathing area, as well as front-end sales of treats. The business was showing great promise; I had a manager and approximately a dozen staff.

Owner/Operator Dog Treat Manufacturing

Critters Cookies
Parksville, British Columbia
06.2011 - 01.2021
  • I created a unique brand of holistic dog treats, creating a wonderful niche in the market. Providing local, meat based treats that sold in over 50 stores across the island. I was working on building a national base when covid came and put me out of business. I was hands on for making the treats, packaging, sales, deliveries, accounting, marketing, promotions customer service. It was a wonderful business and I loved what I did.
