No Work Experience Yet!
Although I have no work experience, I went on a few mission trips during high school. These trips include: Thailand (Sophomore year), Alaska (Sophomore year), and El Salvador (Senior year).
Here's a breakdown of each trip!
Thailand:
We partnered with Outpour Family Foundation and worked with refugees from Myanmar (Burma). We worked with groups varying from toddlers to early adults. Based on the age group, our team designed art-oriented activities and fun sports games for the day.
Alaska:
While in Alaska, we worked with multiple churches to clear away greenery at the end of the winter season. We also helped develop housing for families looking to foster children. Last but not least, we worked with two homeless shelters and provided aid wherever needed. Our work there included helping with their gardens, preparing and serving food, socializing with the people staying there, and distributing clothes.
El Salvador:
We were invited to help lead some physical and academic activities by La Casa de mi Padre. We worked with children and young adults who had challenging childhoods, in hopes of helping restore their confidence and support their growth.
