Compassionate and dedicated youth care worker, with 5 years of experience working directly with vulnerable and high needs youth, including those with disabilities and behavioural challenges.
I have gained extensive, front line experience through working for MCFD and WJS Canada, providing trauma-informed, person-centered care in residential and community settings.
Skilled in implementing positive behaviour support strategies, maintaining structured and supportive routines, and fostering emotional, social, and life skill development.
Experienced in crisis de-escalation, collaborative care planning, and effective communication with families and multi-disciplinary teams.
Committed to creating safe, empowering environments that support youth in building resilience and achieving personal growth.
Between the years 2016 - 2019, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Ken Tocheniuk on various job sites. I was able to develop a diverse set of skills while working on a multitude of projects. These projects included the construction of stone fireplaces, pathways, patios, stairs, marble tables, and retaining walls. Throughout my employment, I was responsible for measuring, cutting, and smoothing stone to ensure optimal fitting and aesthetically pleasing work for our clients. Additionally, I meticulously cleaned and polished surfaces to achieve ideal smoothness and reflectivity. In preparation for each job, I skillfully organized patterns, plans, and supplies in an efficient manner to achieve optimal finishes to ensure the highest quality of workmanship.
