I prepare all kinds of food items for meals such as salads, deli plates and more. I also had to serve food to the servers. they bring in a chit with the orders written down and i have to plate the order and put it up in the window. on slow days its mostly about cleaning, scrub the sides of all the machines, sweep, etc. before i became a cook at Heritage Place, i was a dishwasher. at the beginning of my shift i would have to prepare meals on trays for certain residents who preferred to have their meals delivered to their room, or were sick. i would then deliver the meals directly to them. after that it was just putting dishes through the dishwasher and then putting them away afterwards. then clean up the kitchen at the end, (sweep, mop, take out the garbage's and bring down the dirty rags).
