Work History

Engineer Design Team

Queen's Rocket Engineering Team
09.2025 - Current

Worked on the design of the oxidation system for a mid-sized rocket capable of reaching altitudes of up to 40,000 feet, developed for use in inter-university competition. Collaborated within a specialized sub-team as part of a larger team of 50+ members. Conducted research in fluid dynamics and pneumatically actuated valve systems to ensure the controlled and safe expulsion of highly compressed nitrous oxide from the rocket.

Engineering Project Work

Queens University
09.2025 - 12.2025

Designed and built a prototype of a fully autonomous water filtration device used to provide clean drinking water to isolated communities in Northern Canada. Programmed Arduino microcontrollers and wiring electrical components to automate the filtration process for efficient and reliable operation. Individual system components were designed in Autodesk Fusion 360, including gearboxes, water tanks, mixing mechanisms, filters, and chemical dispensing systems. Worked collaboratively within a team of five to design, construct, and test a fully functional filtration system.

Landscape Technician

Bill Stedman
05.2024 - 08.2025

Maintained and managed two large rural properties in Springbank, Alberta and the Sibbald Creek area. Designed and constructed multiple large stone retaining walls and engineered a causeway to enable material transport across a marsh spanning several acres. Performed routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of equipment and structural elements on both properties.

Minor Hockey Referee

Hockey Canada
09.2022 - 03.2025

Managed high-pressure and volatile situations using effective de-escalation techniques and clear, assertive communication. Demonstrated strong composure and quick decision-making by delivering timely, impartial judgments in fast-paced environments. Resolved on-ice conflicts through decisive intervention, consistently enforcing rules with professionalism to ensure safety and fair play.

Construction Technician

Ted Alley
06.2023 - 07.2023

Assisted in the design and construction of a deck encircling a lakefront property, including digging supports and drilling rebar into bedrock for structural stability. Built the deck using a variety of power tools and materials, ensuring all work complied with municipal building codes and safety standards.
