My specific parts of the job in this company consisted of a variety of things ranging from doing the buildings' layout, set the forms, clean footing, rebar work, prepare for concrete pour, pass inspection, strip forms and concrete pick up work. After 2 years of working there I was able to learn the basics of reading plans, talking with inspectors, learned to operate heavy machinery like skid loaders and mini excavators. Also learned to use power tools like jackhammers, grinders and skill saws.

This job consisted of a 12 hour shift in which I had the responsabilidad of making sure optimal functioning of my designated machine.

My main responsibility was to ensure everything was working correctly in my station, checking the machine, feeding it material and fixing any errors it may have as fast and efficiently as possible to ensure a final product up to industry standards.

Learning how to operate such machine.

Making sure to follow proper safety procedures and protocols.

Learning how to properly wear safety googles, fume mask and how to properly work with and around different substance and materials as safely as possible.
