Work History

Graduate Researcher

University Of Windsor (MAME Department)
Windsor, Ontario
01.2022 - Current
  • Conducted research on innovative forming process called oscillation enhanced superplastic forming for production of aluminum parts for high-end vehicles which has lead to 3 scientific publications.
  • Fabricated finite element simulation using LS-DYNA that captured stress-strain behavior of 5083 aluminum and will be used by industrial sponsors to predict aluminum sheet thickness after forming.
  • Performed hands-on, high temperature (450C) tensile tests on Aluminum, complying diligently to ASTM E2448-18 testing standards.
  • Programmed MATLAB script that automatically generated stress-strain curves, read and wrote Excel files, and significantly improved work efficiency.
  • Utilized MS Word to generate 60+ page industrial report, and other research text used for publications.
  • Utilized MS PowerPoint to present findings to industrial sponsors which was well received and led to more project funding.

Test Engineer Intern

Vitesco Technologies Group AG
Chatham, Ontario
09.2021 - 12.2021
  • Assisted team of engineers to successfully remodel company’s Electric Vehicle Throttle Control Valve which is currently used in many vehicles.
  • Designed fixtures for company's Electric vehicle Water Pump (EWP) during its research and development phase.
  • Modeled large-scale climatic vibration test chamber setup with CATIA that helped lab technicians to replicate test conditions accurately.
  • Documented test logs, and prepared weekly reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prepared multiple engineering drawings and gained valuable knowledge in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

R&D Engineer Intern

Vitesco Technologies Group AG
Chatham, Ontario
09.2020 - 12.2020
  • Designed and built fixture that drastically improved testing efficiency of coolant flow control valve (CFCV) used in hybrid vehicles for companies such as Volvo and BMW.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership by collaborating with team of engineers and lab technicians to brainstorm ideas, conduct research, and successfully meet project deliverables within schedule.
  • Utilized CATIA to design parts, prepare engineering drawings, and present 3D models of various fixtures that were approved and built successfully.
  • Drafted technical drawings using GD&T knowledge and communicated build instructions clearly and concisely with in-house machinists.
