Ventilator Management:

  • Set up and manage mechanical ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support. Experience with multiple ICU ventilators including: GE Engstrom Carestation/Carescape R860, PB 840/980, Drager V500, Servo I/U, Bellavista 1000 and the following transport ventilators: Hamiltion T1, LTV 1200, Drager Oxylog 3000
  • Monitor and adjust ventilator settings to optimize oxygenation and ventilation based on blood gas results
  • Provide airway management, including tracheostomy care and suctioning.
  • Competency with inhaled nitric oxide, and it's use in various clinical presentations


Emergency Response:

  • Respond to medical emergencies, including code blue situations, and providing advanced respiratory support/intubation
  • Maintain readiness to handle acute respiratory crises in a calm and organized manner


Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Communicate effectively within the healthcare team to ensure seamless and safe patient management.
