Assigned to Medi-Cal Address Update Pilot: Updated MEDS and LEADER with addresses found via ex-parte, Post Office updates or via mail or phone.

Craig vs Bonta Project: Received a monthly listing of former SSI recipients. Cleared the listing using MEDS. Established a case record if needed and assigned the case to a worker. I also identified duplicate Client Index Numbers and forwarded a request for correction to the CIN correction unit.

Assigned to the Newborn Referral Project: Cleared information on LEADER and MEDS. Based on information gathered I would add newborn to MEDS. If there was an existing LEADER case, I would contact the case carrying worker to update the LEADER case. When applicable, I would send a Medi-Cal application and all appropriate forms to the mother to apply for coverage. Kept a weekly count of transactions.

Assigned to the Craig vs Bonta unit: The court order in the Craig vs Bonta lawsuit requires that clients discontinued from SSI/SSP must have a SB87 Medi-Cal eligibility redetermination completed before being discontinued from Medi-Cal Gathered information from MEDS and LEADER using the ex-parte process, phone calls and sending clients forms to establish Medi-Cal eligibility.

Medi-Cal Intake: Processed Mail-In applications. Received Mail-In application directly from the applicants or from other facilities. Reviewed applications and any documents attached. Cleared application on LEADER and MEDS. Called or mailed applicants forms when more information was needed to process the application. Once the information was received, the application was processed on LEADER.

Assigned to DPSS Customer Service Center: Received calls from Participants. Updated addresses, phone numbers, added newborns to cases and scheduled appointments. Used LEADER and MEDS to review cases.
Gathered information needed to determine Medi-Cal eligibility and processed Mail-in applications at the intake level. Informed participants of all available services and promptly made referrals if needed.
