Participated in group work in numerous clubs that promoted positive growth within culture and community. I am able to overcome and solve situations within large crowds and offer leadership in groups. I offer positive support in groups and am able to work efficiently individually and in groups.
KIP team is a club in our school that promotes kindness within our community. We achieve this by doing volunteer work that supports people in need in our community.
We also do presentations for eight graders where we give advice on on how to overcome conflicts in their daily lives. It is a joint partnership between lcsd and lchs where youth gather to network and support the kindness initiative.
I ran a Social Media Account for a local program called Connecting parents for approximately a year and a half. I would regularly post events the program hosted and assisted any users who had questions about anything. Connecting parents is a support group in Lloyd for parents wanting to learn and overcome problems their kids or themselves might be facing. I was passionate about supporting my community and learning more about mental health in the process.
Took a 3 day entrepreneurship program in Onion Lake called "Bears Lair". We worked in groups of 5-8 to create our own business which involved communication, team work, and discussion to come to a formidable plan, which we later presented to a panel of judges. We had to plan out our business name, the financial operations, marketing strategies, and more, all independently. Our team placed second in the rankings out of 6 teams. Bears lair is a program made to support Ingenious and Metis youth by teaching them about what it takes to create a real business, which educated us on real life experiences.
