-Tasked in assembling new pieces of Komatsu equipment such as 785HD, 830E, D475, WA900, PC2000, PC5500, PC7000 and PC9000.

-Teamed up with groups of technicians for various jobs including surge work for backlogged repairs to overhauls on various pieces of Komatsu equipment such as 785HD, 830E, 930E, D375, D475, WA900, WA1200, PC2000, PC3000, PC5500 and PC8000.

-Overhauls included replacing engines, transmissions, traction alternators, wheel motors, struts, spindles, pumps and hoses.

-Test and Commission equipment after overhauls and repairs have been completed.

- Performed as running repair in multiple different mines such as Rainy River Mine ON, Sunhills Mine AB, Diavik Mine NWT and Forthills Mine AB.

-Perform warranty claim reports and repairs.

-Utilizing support equipment to perform repairs such as overhead cranes, telehandler, forklifts, loaders, work platforms.

- Carried out scheduled and planned maintenance repairs on heavy haul trucks consisting of Leibherr T282B, CAT 793, CAT 797B and Komatsu 930E.

- Conducting field level risk assessment before commencing any work.
- Performing lockout/ tag out procedures isolating equipment to prevent unwanted start up and movement while conducting repairs
- Utilizing over-head crane and following Syncrude’s safe working procedures specific to the jobs.

• Operated a field service truck as a team and carried out small repairs; complete replacement of engines, transmissions and drivetrain components on wheeled vehicles in adverse weather conditions.
• Performed as lead technician for journeyman/apprentice technicians; providing assistance, feedback, and encouragement.
• Worked in mechanical shop utilizing heavy overhead crane to carry out replacement of engines, transmissions and powertrain components.
• Interpret technical manuals to diagnose, troubleshoot and determine the best course of action to repair complex vehicle faults.
