Accomplishments

  • Implemented grievance appeals process to become first union to receive approval from the Alberta Labour Relations Board. Created process maps, terms of reference, standardized forms, letters, agreements for two tiers of internal committees.
  • Researched various options and software providers to develop and customize a Grievance Manager tool to track, document, maintain and follow the Labour Relations process requirements in resolving complaints and grievances. Mapped detailed procedures, timelines to provide a centralized location for all information and continuity. Authored standardized letters, forms, settlements agreements, for 76 Collective Agreements providing online access to add articles and clauses directly to each grievance. Created automated notifications, documents to maintain all communications and actions in chronological order ensuring deadlines are met and the integrity of the process is maintained.
  • Launched the new OE 955 website, integrating all Trusts within the Union. Designed and process mapped requirements for each trust creating a fully functional training schedule, shift planning tools and member interaction site. Produced an easy to use, online self-pay benefit option for member’s benefits, enhancing client service. Developed and increased access options for Members allowing members to track bids, view history and update profile information. A payment option for Dues increased payments of outstanding dues. Built option to communicate en mass with members directly notifying of job opportunities, dissemination of critical information and profile update requirements.
  • Developed, implemented and improved the Grant Allocation Process at Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, giving us the ability to successfully match applications with breast cancer Subject Matter Experts in the field. Elevated the integrity of the allocation process allowing the foundation to allocate millions of research dollars to create a more impactful outcome for breast cancer survivors.
  • Organized and executed Inaugural CIBC Run for the Cure in Grande Prairie, AB. Secured Run Sponsors, oversaw Volunteer Committee, tripled fundraising goal by 90K. Organized talent, obtained all permits and security required throughout the event.
