September 2018-2021 was a member of the Pasadena Leo Club which is the youth group with the Pasadena Lion's Club. Leo's is an organization that does fundraisers, helps at events, volunteers in the Community to give back to those in need in the community like the Food Bank, Christmas Hamper, Shelters, etc. During this time I also served as Treasurer and Secretary.
September 2015 - June 2022 I was a member of the Pasadena 2959 Lions Army Cadet Corps starting back in September 2015. I achieved one of the highest ranks in our Corps, Master Warrant Officer and held the position of Drum Major. In my first year, I attended a Band Seminar to learn glockenspiel so I could be in our Corps band. With my musical background (Clarinet/Piano), I picked up on this instrument quickly. This has led to a great Cadet Band career that enabled me to attend Band Seminars as a Cadet then as a Staff Cadet helping our Officers and Cadets with Gloc and Clarient. I also achieved many awards during my time in the Corps as well as Cadet Training Camp (CTC). While in the Corps, I was awarded Top Cadet, CO Award (twice), Esprit de Corps and held Level IV Distinguished Marksmanship since my 1st year, maintaining this for my 6yrs in the Corps. In 2019, I was honored to be awarded Top Cadet of the Week and also the LCdr Perreault Award for the Top Advanced Musician of the year! While in University, I still helped my Corps with Virtual Training.
I have been playing Piano since I was 4yrs old at Gary Bennett Music in Corner Brook and took up Clarinet when I was 11yrs old. Clarinet is my passion and was the reason for involvement in School Bands and also Cadet Summer Bands. I have always enjoyed the Arts talking part in Musical Theater, Choirs, Rotary Festivals, Dance and Art. I love to draw, color, embroider and crochet. I also enjoy my time in the outdoors on quad, skidoo, cross country skiing, moose hunting with my dad or just spending time at my family's cabin on Grand Lake. I enjoy travelling and have been fortunate to have been to Europe, Disney (Orlando, Florida), Cuba and Quebec.
