Vanderbilt University Medical Center Clinical Rotations, (780+ HOURS OF DIRECT PATIENT CARE)

• Labor & Delivery (200 Hours): Assisted with vaginal births and C-sections, conducted postpartum and newborn assessments, provided breastfeeding education, and supported families through the birthing process.
• Cardiac Stepdown (130 Hours): Conducted comprehensive cardiac assessments, administered cardiac and blood pressure medications, assisted with trach suctioning, and attended cardiac imaging procedures such as ablations.
• Pediatric Stepdown (130 Hours): Performed pediatric history and physical exams, observed and assisted in child welfare cases, and supported interventions for growth and development concerns.
• Trauma Stepdown (130 Hours): Provided advanced wound care, assisted in chest tube insertions, performed IV insertions, and supported trauma teams in critical situations.
• Psychiatric Hospital (130 Hours): Led therapeutic group sessions, engaged patients in structured activities, and assisted in crisis management.
• Elderly Acute Care (130 Hours): Performed blood draws and IV insertions, observed PICC line placements and blood transfusions, and conducted wound care treatments for pressure ulcers and surgical sites.

International Medical Assistant Team Leader, Water of Life, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

• Conducted essential maternal health education and perinatal care to underserved communities in the red-light district. Provided hygiene kits, prenatal vitamins, baby clothes, and other necessary resources to mothers and newborns.

Team Leader, Vanderbilt Student Nurse International Community Health Quality Improvement Project

• Conducted a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment survey that was conducted with over 100 families in Olán, Ecuador, to identify critical healthcare gaps and prioritize areas for intervention. Targeted health initiatives and education by planning a health fair organized to provide essential services for children, nutrition education sessions were conducted for food service staff, and specialized workshops on healthy relationships and puberty were delivered for adolescents to promote overall well-being.
