  • Worked in a self-contained Life Skills classroom with one certified teacher, 2 other paraeducators, and 12 students both during Covid and after as restrictions began to be lifted.
  • Assisted with toileting as needed, daily lunch preparation and supervision, playground supervision, and laundry as required.
  • Assisted teacher in providing small group support to students whose support needs were small and great, including using manipulatives to learn math skills, PEC cards, and AAC devices as needed for communication.
  • Helped with daily routines, behavior charts, safe space usage and behavior de-escalation, elopement prevention/protocols, escorts to nursing staff for medication disbursement.
  • During Covid, participated in and helped run daily small groups via Zoom, practiced all safety standards when students returned to the classroom, made craft packets and educational packets for parents to pick up for their students in support of the teacher.
