- Planned and facilitated recreation and leisure activities at a 16-bed psychiatric hospital facility (PHF) and a 28-bed adult residential program with the assistance of two recreation assistants. The objective of the PHF was to assist adults experiencing mental health crisis by providing a safe, secured, comfortable setting to receive immediate access to psychiatric and social services. Alternatively, the adult residential program provides residents with skills training, linkage to care, and community engagement opportunities.
- Led 3 to 4 recreation therapy groups ranging from 30 to 60 minutes on social skills, creative expression, mood management, exercise, stress management, mindfulness, and arts/crafts.
- Utilized the electronic health care system called point-click-care to input over 9 assessments a week for new admission and approximately 6 progress notes a day to track clients attendance and advancement toward treatment goals.
