Quality Management System:

• Accountable for the Quality Control Inspectors, Material Review Board (MRB) members, Quality Engineering, Document Control, and Calibration.
• Accountable for aerospace product conformity and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications as well as regulatory requirements (CAR-561, AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9001, Nadcap, etc.)
• Responsible for the compliance of the document management system in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Developed, produced, and analyzed the quality metrics for manufacturing including scrap, rework, and nonconformances.
• Responsible for the timely resolution to all product nonconformities, internal and external audit findings, as well as the prioritization and inspection of raw materials, parts, and assemblies in accordance with drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentored quality engineers who performed root cause analyses and corrective actions for nonconformances to ensure continuous improvement within manufacturing.

Management & Leadership:

• Mentored and trained teams of 3 to 25, high-performing individuals across all quality departments in a highly regulated industry.
• Performed quarterly and year-end employee evaluations.
• Developed training plans for all roles in the Quality department.

Project Management:

• Managed the planning, execution, and completion of equipment acquisition and qualification as well as new process implementation projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
• Led the teams of subject matter experts to ensure projects were on time, on budget and met all internal and external specification requirements.
• Worked closely with all departments to support the maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement actions for process, product, and documentation quality.

• Responsible for Quality Engineering, Document Control, and Calibration.
• These teams ensured monitoring and measuring devices were calibrated, the document management system was upheld, and documented nonconformities were resolved in a manner to prevent recurrence.
• Implemented and managed the First Article Inspection process and software - Net-Inspect, in accordance with AS9102.
• Created and produced the quality metrics to identify trends in quality as well as to provide visibility for effective decision making in the factory.

• Participated in the qualification and approval process for new and existing documents, processes, and equipment affecting part and production quality.
• Worked closely with all departments to recommend actions for improving product and process quality as well as to carry out root cause analysis.
• Provided data capture methodology to identify trends in quality to support continuous improvement of the quality process systems.
• Unleashed the full potential of the document management system software - Adept.
• Established and led the Adept technical support team
• Managed the document control, retention and retrieval improvement projects.
• Designed and implemented all calibration processes and procedures currently being used.
• Trained and mentored all staff hired in the calibration technician roll since 2013.

• Designed and implemented the system for controlling the monitoring and measuring devices, including the setup of the software that monitors the devices as well as completing daily calibrations.
• Created the calibration training program and trained multiple, successful employees.
• The calibration department continues to hold its finding-free audit status.

• Preformed manufacturing audit procedures on Viking's Twin Otter aircraft to ensure all changes to the aircraft were properly documented for Transport Canada.
• Through this work experience I gained exposure to Viking’s VISUAL software and the document and record control processes for engineering drawings, work orders and nonconformances.

• Designed and produced drawings for welding jigs and fixtures and aided in the design of boating suspension seat components.
• This experience continued to expand my knowledge in design, project management and manufacturing processes.

• Produced detailed drawings for the layout and construction of sheet metal furniture including a 42-piece Navy furniture package, a bus−bushing bumper for BC Transit and a drawing package for the sale of a baker’s rack business.
• This experience furthered my skills in project and time management.

• Responsible for the design, modification, and fabrication of an assortment of oceanographic equipment like the Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV's), underwater pan and tilt cameras and ice-tracking Witness Buoys.
• This experience expanded my knowledge in project management and design, gave me experience in unsupervised projects and allowed me to test my time management skills.
