Work History

Founder/President

BlueRush
01.2006 - Current
  • As the President and Founder of BlueRush, I have led the company since its inception, following a successful 2.5-year project with CIBC and the launch of the Financial HealthCheck. BlueRush was established with a clear mission: to deliver innovative digital solutions to financial services and life sciences organizations.
  • Under my leadership ,BlueRush gained a reputation for its exceptional ability to conceive, develop, and implement cutting-edge digital solutions for numerous prominent organizations in Canada and the USA. The company has received numerous industry awards for its clients, including major banks, pharmaceutical companies, and large financial software organizations.
  • BlueRush introduced groundbreaking products such as SmartAdvisor (later sold to Broadridge) and INDIVIDEO, a video engagement platform. In 2017, I initiated the appointment of a new CEO and board of directors and secured venture capital firms to support the growth of the software-as-a-service (SaaS) segment of the business.

Strategic Advisor (Contract)

CIBC
07.2003 - 01.2006
  • I played a strategic and pivotal role in leading the strategy, design, development, and implementation of the CIBC Financial Health Check program. This comprehensive program adopted an omni-channel approach to gather accurate customer information, with the core belief that understanding customer needs and preferences leads to increased product sales.
  • Over the course of several years, the bank successfully completed more than 2 million Health Checks with customers. The project's anticipated cost recovery period of 18 months was surpassed, as we achieved full cost recovery in less than 6 months.
  • My contributions to the CIBC Financial Health Check program demonstrated my ability to drive successful initiatives that directly impacted customer engagement, product sales, and cost efficiency.

Founder/CEO

Fitech
05.1995 - 06.2003
  • As the founder and CEO of Fitech, I established the company as a leading provider of financial technology strategy, design, and development services. Fitech acted as a representative for several US-based firms seeking to expand their client base in Canada.
  • Under my leadership, Fitech successfully built and deployed numerous pioneering web-based financial calculators across various domains, including savings and deposits, loans and mortgages, wealth management, and insurance. These calculators were adopted by major banks, wealth management firms, and insurance companies, enhancing their digital capabilities and customer experience.
  • Recognizing the importance of expertise and skill development, Fitech collaborated with a US-based training firm to provide comprehensive training programs to bank advisors within our client banks. This initiative further strengthened the financial knowledge and advisory capabilities of the banking professionals we served.
  • Fitech's accomplishments did not go unnoticed, as the company underwent several acquisitions. Firstly, Fitech was acquired by Ezenet, followed by subsequent acquisitions by Cognicase and CGI. These transitions further solidified Fitech's position as a trusted and influential player in the financial technology sector.

Vice President Marketing

  • As the leader of the marketing team, I successfully built the Footprint Software brand from the ground up. I established our go-to-market strategy, which involved targeted sales calls and active participation in conferences where I also had the opportunity to speak as an industry expert. These efforts contributed significantly to increasing our market presence and driving business growth.
  • Furthermore, as a member of the management team, I played an instrumental role in overseeing the successful sale of Footprint Software to IBM in 1995. This milestone served as a testament to the company's achievements and the value we had created.
