Lane Fretts

Was the owner's main hired hand for a few years, did just about everything, including, but not limited to:

• Operating equipment, such as self unloading wagons, rotary rakes, cultivators, chisel plows, etc.
• Repaired barn and field use equipment, including the owner's three silo unloaders, stable cleaners, as well as most of the pieces of equipment on the farm
• Responsible for maintenance of equipment such as fluid changes and top ups, greasing of equipment, and belt and chain adjustments/changes
• Responsible for operating the feeding setup
• Various barn chores

Worked in the township shop repairing and maintaining fleet equipment, doing some of the following tasks:

• Changing hydraulic pumps on mower tractors
• Changed various components on a vehicle involved in a collision, including the replacement of the radiator, transmission cooler, power steering cooler, A/C condenser and lines, as well as the grille and other body components
• Various jobs on plow trucks, including electrical work, hydraulic pump change, some air brake work, line changes
• Fluid/filter changes on a variety of equipment
• Many other various jobs
