•Works closely with Project Leadership to maintain operational awareness to effectively mobilize the Safety Team and provides regular updates, identifies key trends and opportunities to improve safety performance.
•Support Senior Project Leaders and Field Supervisors to effectively apply the Safety Management System.
•Ensure Safety Team is aware of performance expectations, supervise, provide regular feedback, and address performance concerns in a timely and effective manner.

•Support the One call process, Compile Ground Disturbance Packages and help support GD Activities
•Verify that the project general safety rules and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation, and
Code are upheld in addition to any other applicable standards, codes, or guidelines.
•Attend, monitor, and contribute to contractor kick-off meetings, daily toolbox, and shift safety meetings.
•Advise, coach and mentor the project team when the contractor is not in compliance with any of the following:
-the contractor’s HSE management programs;
-the Keyera Project Contractor HSE Requirements Package (Alberta);
-Keyera SOPs, COPs, and SSOPs; and

•Conduct daily informal work site inspections including the review of contractor FLHAs and provide feedback as required.

As the Vice President of Health and Safety Lane was responsible to initiate and foster the development, implementation, and management of corporate HSE policies/programs to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, while maintaining congruence with corporate business plans and objectives.
