Landon Elder

• I help organize on-campus events, fostering collaboration between departments and student organizations. I assist in the setup, the management, and the closing of various events. This job allows me to schedule my shifts in in advance and gives me more flexibility. It gives me the opportunity to constantly meet new people and learn new things from them.

• I help develop personalized lesson plans to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. I monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to guide academic improvement. I teach kids all the way from 1st grade to beyond college in various topics. I was given this opportunity through work study with the LMU Partner non-profit organization called "Learn To Be" which teaches all age ranges. This job allows me to have a flexible schedule.

• I first served on the E-Board of the Delta Upsilon Chapter at LMU as the Vice President Of Recruitment where I helped coordinate Rush events. Then I served a couple of months as CO-President to help lead the Chapter to sustain itself through a rough period of time. I am now serving as the Vice President Of New Member Education as it aligns with my skills as a Virtual Tutor from a different job. This role allows me to continue helping lead the social organization in growth while also giving me other opportunities to evolve as an individual.

• I am currently serving as the Operations Chair for Rains Hall. I help contribute to various dorm events and stay in the loop with what is happening on campus. I served on RHA last year in Whelan, and it was a wonderful experience. I am continuing this position to open up more doors and see if I would like to pursue it further in the future.

• As a Preschool Classroom Caregiver, I supported daily activities, mediated conflicts to foster a positive environment, and ensured the safety of children during walks and campus outings. I organized materials, sanitized the room, restocked supplies, and managed kitchen tasks like washing dishes. This experience enhanced my problem-solving, organizational skills, and ability to see diverse perspectives, while teaching me to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Served as the First-Floor Senator for Whelan Hall, actively representing and addressing the needs of dorm residents. Collaborated with fellow council members to coordinate and implement engaging events, fostering a sense of community and enhancing the residential experience. Acted as a liaison between residents and administration to ensure concerns were heard and addressed effectively.

• I was elected by the CSF Chapter at my high school to become a CSF Officer. I graduated as a Gold Seal Bearer. This position gave me better organizational and leadership skills throughout high school. I helped create, organize, schedule, and fund campus wide events.
