• Tire Test Rig (Fall 2022 to Spring 2023)
• A team of five successfully designed and built a test rig for tires to find the vertical deflection and footprint measurements under different loads
• This design of the test rig was original
• The test rig is big enough to test RC tires
• Using these results, a model and simulation was completed using SolidWorks to simulate the results when different loads are applied
• Vehicle Structural Design using 3D Frame (Fall 2022)
• The structure of a sedan car is modeled using beams and frames to study torsional stiffness
• The weight of the vehicle and torsion stiffness of the vehicle were found
• Using MATLAB, the structure was optimized by minimizing the weight while maintaining the torsional stiffness of the vehicle
• This project was successfully completed
• Design of motorcycle helmet (Fall 2021)
• Successfully designed a motorcycle helmet that was modeled on NX
• Designed a small autonomous delivery vehicle (Fall 2021)
• A team of four successfully designed a small autonomous delivery vehicle which was modeled using a combination of NX and SolidWorks.
