In the years I have worked for Shoppers Drug Mart I have learned many valuable lessons and brought lots of ideas and suggestions to the table that have helped myself and my coworkers to be successful.

I have always been determined to learn as many skills in as many departments as I could. I have been cross trained to assist with receiving (receiving orders, sorting back room inventory, scanning back room inventory, etc.), post office (clerk, receiving incoming parcels, preparing outgoing parcels, etc.) and merchandising (stocking shelves, facing products, assisting customers with products, etc.). This has made me an extremely valuable employee as I am one of only a few in the store who are confidently trained across many departments

During every shift I always make sure to complete my allotted tasks in a timely manner and then I proceed to assist other staff members wherever they need me. On quiet days you can always find me cleaning, organizing and catching up on lower priority tasks that had been pushed aside on busy days.

My duties included but were not limited to:

• Supervise the cashiers and supervisors below myself as well as other store staff below me
• Assist with/relieve some of the cash managers duties
• 9 years of customer service (assisting customers both on the floor and at the checkouts i.e. locating items, choosing the correct products, taking phone calls, etc.)
• Counting cash (safe, tills, etc.)
• Counting and reconciling lottery, stamps, tags, etc.
• Reconciling all of the tills and deposits

This job set the path for my future in customer service and taught me many things that have improved my customer interactions in my current position.

My duties included but were not limited to:

• Seating customers
• Taking drink orders and getting refills
• Taking food and extras out to tables
• Checking on patrons
• Assisted in the kitchen with dishes
• Preparing starter soups or salads
