My name is Kylie Melnick,

I was raised in Port Alberni BC and currently live in Chemainus BC.My ancestors originate from the Cherokee Nation.

I currently work for the community of Stz'uminus First Nation where I have worked for the past 15 years.I have been honored to have worked alongside community members and elders over the years who have shared the stories and ways to help better serve the children I work with.The previous 15 years were also dedicated to working in health care and outreach roles. I would like to continue my journey of educating myself and providing support to others.

I am confident, work well under pressure ,a good advocate , independent and a great team player.

My favorite strengths about myself are ; I'm non judgemental , compassionate,,empathetic, trusting , a good communicator and great listener .My strongest strength is building strong healthy relationships.

Speech Language Pathologist focused on helping people of all ages develop and improve skills required for effective speech.
