Accomplishments
As a Counsellor it is your job to adapt and learn when it comes to different situations within the field. My first year at Pathways I was a Floater, and as a floater you work house to house and with doing this job, you learn about all different behaviours and how to deal with them. I ended up taking a contract at a house in the County and ended up becoming a case manager. With this job, I have learnt about dealing with clients finances, legal restrictions, dealing with appointments, health problems, behaviours, and learning about dealing with mental health and addictions within families and clients. With this job, I have learnt so much about other people and also a lot about myself. It is a rewarding job knowing you can make a difference in people's lives.
