I was a full time employee at Bramalea Baptist Church for their children and youth summer camps programs including an all day summer camp "Sonsational" on site and a week away camp "Rokhawah". My responsibilities included monitoring, leading, and mentoring a large group of kids and teaching them about Christianity. My role was helping the children learn strong character traits that build the children's responsibility, maturity, and mental/spiritual health. I also assisted with audio/visual throughout the years at these summer camps, mixing for band performance, producing engaging light shows and graphics, and building an exciting environment for the kids with decoration and crafts. Weekly community outreach program for youth ages 4-18 at Bramalea Baptist Church. Provides opportunities for youth engagement in sports and other physical activities, art and cosmetics, games, and Bible studies. Each session typically runs from 5:30pm-9:15pm. My responsibilities include facilitating technology and media throughout the evening, as well as running games and activities. Roughly 30-40 children and 30 teens attend each week. KINs club runs for about 24 weeks in the year, broken into 3 sessions of 8 weeks. I have volunteered as part of the Bramalea Baptist Church Production Team for several years and gained extensive knowledge on the foreground and background operations of tech and media equipment. My duties include controlling multiple cameras, mixing live music and operating a lighting console for the purposes of producing a Sunday morning church service. I am onsite each Sunday I volunteer from 9:00am – 12:30pm. I have been volunteering as part of the Bramalea Baptist Church Production Team at my youth organization for several years and have recently started training up aspiring newer generations of youth on the equipment and building teams that I can supervise as they cooperate through rehearsals so that they can use this knowledge to perform better in technical settings. I was entrusted to operate sound, lighting, visuals, and set the stage with tech equipment for a full band each Friday evening I assisted with. This is in preparation for youth and young adults worship nights, one of which I was on the board of coordinators and directors with when we organized an entirely youth-led 4 hour worship night. I am onsite each Friday from 5pm-7pm, where I then attend the youth program from 7pm-9pm. Since September I have begun being more involved in young adult events and operating tech and media during some larger 5 hour time slots, working with and training young adults older than me on sound and lighting equipment and building their proficiency in software such as ProPresenter to build their independence on the team.
I am very interest in healthy active living and take my personal fitness seriously. I believe this is crucial, than any youth leader be physically capable to keep up with the children and foster an environment where often restless children can be energetic and explore.
