Contracted Field technician working on suncor baseplant site in fort mcmurray

Tasks include troubleshooting/repairing and maintaining various types of mining equipment. Some include Cat excavators (349s, 390s, 6015 hydraulic shovels) haul trucks (777D 777F and 789s.) D6-D10 dozers and experience in repairing various hitachi, John Deere and komatsu track equipment. Volvo and Komatsu articulated 40T trucks & fuel combos. Also gravel compactors.

Experience in complete overhauls of cat haul trucks and various track equipment.

Experience in full undercarriage rebuilds.

Welding and fabrication to repair equipment.

Using software such as SIS, MPDR, VOCOM, SEVICE ADVISOR, PROSIS, etc to properly diagnose equipment, look up and order required parts for repair.

Shop and field tec role.

Tasks include troubleshooting and repairing various equipment which includes sterling and Freightliner trucks, repair of boom trucks, excavators(Kobelco,link belts, hitachi and cat) d4-d6 dozers and various types of generators and screening plants.

Welding and repairs to damaged components such as buckets etc

Service calls to repair equipment on and off road.

Pre/post trip inspections on a various types of equipment

Inspect and diagnose faults and repair accordingly. Order parts needed for the task.

Preventative maintence when needed.

Run and test equipment for proper working condition.

Worked on various types of equipment including on highway truck, grapples, magnets and crusher combo units, excavators with various attachments and other units needed in the metal recycling plants.

Service calls on and off road equipment.

Assemble factory parts including sensors, belts bearings etc.

check systems for proper operations.

Troubleshoot issues with various types of electrical systems and repair accordingly

Replace defective or worn parts.

Keep a clean and sanitized work area.

Assist in other various jobs aboard the vessel
