Processing Needs

• Provide parenting support and education programs, such as Parents as Teachers (PAT) for children ages 0–5, and the Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) for ages 6–17.

• Assist families in setting and achieving goals, like finding housing, returning to school, or improving job skills.

Provide emotional support.

• Listen to families' concerns and challenges, offer encouragement, and refer them to mental health services when needed.

Connect families to resources.

• Refer families to community services such as healthcare, food assistance, childcare, rental assistance, and mental health support.
