  • Counseling:
  • My counseling internship was completed at the Middle School and College levels. At the Middle School level I learned how to work with students one on one with academic, behavioral and personal problems. At the College level I learned how to do course scheduling and how to help students with academic issues like probation. I have learned through my internship communication skills to working with students and staff. I have also learned how to do basic office skills.
  • Teaching:
  • Consisting of Elementary Kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grades, Middle School Academic Intervention Teacher, High school Home Economics, High School ROP Child Development, Substitute teaching K-12 and Independent Study/Alternative Education. I am able to tutor and mentor students, oversee high school seniors, and adults who are trying to achieve their high school diploma. I am also able to do various paperwork for the educational facility and students. Maintain an efficient and affective classroom environment that follows state standards.

  • Most clerical tasks, including typing, filing and answering the phone. Familiar with computer programs such as: Microsoft Word, and Excel. I have a typing certification verifying how many words per minute I can type.
  • As a counselor/teacher I hope to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths, abilities, and discovering what truly inspires them. I provide a stimulating environment in which is best suited to the student’s individual needs. I want to open their minds to a whole new world of thinking.
