Member of the curling rink staff that does daily operations to provide top level curling ice to competitive and recreational curlers.

Daily operational tasks include ice plant checks,this important part of the job includes servicing compressor units and the condenser unit, also ensuring brine levels and compressor levels are adequate to a professional standard.

This job also guarantees the task of ice scrapping and cleaning and shaving of the ice for game play.

As part of working at facility, you also interact with hundreds of members weekly assuring all their curling needs are fulfilled.

TAC (Turn around crew)and IROP (Irregular operations)was an extraordinaire and important piece of the aviation experience with Westjet for many years.

Duties that included with this job were providing comfort and care and safety to everyone flying on each Westjet flight inbound and outbound. Providing tasks like loading and offloading planes on airport gates safely. Giving care to animals and assuring they were properly secure for their destination. Dealing with all extremes of weather and being part of a team that worked together. Other parts of this job was working with machinery to perform important handlings of aircrafts and example would be bringing in planes from tarmac and pushing planes towards blast wall, which in turn would make for a safe travel for that aircraft.
