Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Nuclear Operator in Training position at Ontario Power Generation. In my current position with Aecon as a Boilermaker Helper at DNGS, I have gained valuable hands-on experience that has prepared me for this exciting opportunity to transition into a more specialized role within the nuclear energy sector.
During my time with Aecon, I was involved with the successful Feeder removal on Darlingtons Unit 4 and am currently supporting the Darlington Unit 1 New Fuel Load. These opportunities have allowed me to demonstrate my ability to work efficiently and safely within the complex environment of a nuclear plant. This experience has equipped me with the Human Performance tools required to safely work in the station, provided me with a view into the basics of plant operations, and exposed me to the rigorous standards that support safe operation of Ontario’s nuclear power stations. My experience with Aecon, strong work ethic, along with my ability to think clearly and critically in high stress environments make me well-suited to transition into the Nuclear Operator in Training role.
