I am a 24-year police veteran, currently serving as an Inspector with the Halifax Regional Police Service Senior Leadership Team.
In January 2001, I commenced my policing duties as a patrol constable on 1 Watch. I served in this role until November 2007, at which time I was appointed to the rank of Detective Constable with the Criminal Investigations Division. I worked within the General Investigation Section and the Major Crime Unit for 8 years. I successfully supervised numerous high-profile investigations and major police operations. I worked as a supervisor in charge of wire room operations and as lead investigator with the Integrated Homicide Section. I served as a member of the HRP Interview Team, coordinating interviews for all investigative units, and supervising instruction of the Interview and Interrogation Course, offered yearly through the HRP Training Section.
In November 2015, I successfully competed in the Sergeant’s Promotional Routine, assigned as the Patrol supervisor on 4 Watch. In October 2020, I successfully competed in the Staff Sergeant’s Promotional Routine, assigned as the Watch Commander for 3 Watch. In August 2022, I was transferred to the Support Division, to serve as the Information Management Officer. I have also attained my Police Leadership Supervisory Skills and Human Resources Management Certificates through Dalhousie University and am currently attaining my Finance and Risk Management Certification.
I have been serving as the Provincial Director of the Nova Scotia Law Enforcement Torch Run organization for the past 5 years.
