Summary

I am a materials scientist/metallurgist with passion to expand my knowledge and skills in the related areas of interest and expertise. Living in different countries and being exposed to different cultures has made me an open-minded person, who considers a courageous, avant garde mind-set to be a value. Areas of expertise and interest include: • Powder metallurgy processing methods (press-and-sintering, cold isostatic pressing, selective laser melting, hot isostatistic pressing) • Design and optimization of powder metallurgy processing parameters and routes to obtain the desired microstructure and properties in a metallic part • Tribology, wear phenomena and their mechanisms • Corrosion and degradation of materials

  • Worked on an industrial project focused on addressing the challenges related to degradation and corrosion of materials used in syngas production systems.
  • Key achievements: 1- Developed a high-pressure, high-temperature testing set-up working stably for the experiments. 2- Conducted research in the field of specialization and reported the results to the industrial partner.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Université de Sherbrooke
Sherbrooke, Canada
05.2022 - 09.2024
  • I was awarded the 2021-2022 PBEEE/Quebec Merit Scholarship for Foreign Postdocs-Nature and Technologies.
  • Project topics: 1- Research project: Thermal Plasma Synthesis of different alloys and intermetallics from Al-Mo and Al-Ni powder systems.
  • 2- Industrial project:
  • The production of industrial hydrogen and carbon black from methane using a plasma set-up.
  • Conversion of plastic waste to nanocarbon filaments. In this project, a pilot scale reactor is used to obtain carbon nanofilaments in solid state.
  • Key achievements: 1- Using the thermal plasma and by applying some combinatorial tools, novel light metallic materials were processed from Al-Mo and Al-Ni powder systems.
  • 2- Contributed my role as a postdoctoral fellow in an industrial project dealing with the production of industrial hydrogen and carbon black from methane using a plasma set-up and conversion of plastic waste to nanocarbon filaments using a pilot set-up reactor.
