Volunteer Experience

  • Golden Mentors, High School Mentor, Edmonton, 2018-09, 2019-06, I visited a local high school in Edmonton to provide students with free academic and non-academic support. Would create lesson plans, help students with their course work, and make their transition from high school to post secondary as smooth as possible.
  • Golden Mentors, International Student Tutor, Edmonton, 2019-09, 2021-05, I tutored international students university level courses including physiology, biochemistry, psychology, and math. Improved my communication skills by overcoming language barriers. Helped these students navigate university campus.
  • Canadian Arab Friendship Association, Early Learning Program Volunteer, Edmonton, AB, 2018-09, Present, Tutored recently immigrated children how to read and write English. Assisted families navigate life in Canada and helped reduce the cultural shock they were experiencing by educating them on Canadian culture and values.

Gaming tournaments were intended to raise money for a charity of the winner of the tournaments choice.
