Business fair:

I was the co-project leader of the 2nd annual Vancouver Children’s Business Fair. Through this project, I recognized the need for strong planning skills and developed it in the process by meticulously tracking every detail of the event. Meanwhile, I also have to anticipate and adapt to unexpected challenges and take the initiative to address issues on the spot and create additional opportunities for participants.

Tutoring:

Hand in Hand, Bilingual Learning is a non profit organization in China aiming to help Chinese students develop English as their second language. I was selected as a mentor to be assigned to work with elementary kids in China through Zoom. I am also an afterschool tutor for my next-door neighbor’s kid. I helped improve my mentee’s overall academic performance by providing one-on-one tutoring in various subjects. Furthermore, I am also a peer tutor at my school that works with the Learning Support Program.

Basketball:

I am currently a player on the Magee Senior Boys basketball team, and I have played for every school basketball team from grade 9 to 12. In grade 10, we won the Vancouver Junior Boy City Championship and went on to play Provincial. I played club basketball at Dynamic for two years,

Project Manager:

I was honored to be the Art of Our Community Non Profit Organization and Ted-Ex ArbutusRidge project manager, where I successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing tasks according to urgency, resource availability, and alignment with organizational goals. I planned, designed, and scheduled phases for large projects, as well as establishing effective communication among team members for enhanced collaboration and successful project completion.
