Manage daily drilling operations on 3500m heavy oil horizontal wells. Responsibilities range from 1-3 rigs at any given time. Presently responsible for 2 with mastery of safety training of all personal on location including risk management, accident prevention and use of equipment. Organize all service personal and delegate tasks to coordinate an efficient work site. Maintain open, clear communication between rig management, directional drillers, geologists and mud loggers. Order and oversee running of all tubulars, surface, intermediate, production casing and slotted liner. Run all down hole tools, hangers, bridge plugs and fishing tools. Calculate, order and directly over-see all cementing requirements. Oversee multiple zone coring projects, wire line and pipe conveyed logging operations.

• Facilitate all safety meetings, man down drill sand BOP drills
• Compile comprehensive drillings reports to accurately assess quality of well and drilling procedures while preparing daily cost estimates with contract awareness consistency
• Recommendations towards improvements in drilling efficiency and drilling techniques to further improve future production
• Allocation of funds and invoice approval to stay on budget
• Able to recognize down hole issues and troubleshooting
• Work with gel chem, Cal2, diesel polymer and oil based drilling fluid systems
• Coordinate all activities of service personnel with equipment set-up, tear-down and preparation of job sites
• Tech skills: Excel, Continental Gas Detection, Rig Sat, Pason and EDR
• Maintain high standards of safety, productivity and quality continually
• Implement onsite safety protocols and procedures and properly train all team members on prevention measures, effectively reducing injuries and near-misses
